What does house shifting include?

A standard MRFT house shift covers five things: packing, dismantling, loading, transport and reassembly. You can take all five or only the parts you need.

  • Packing of clothes, kitchen items, electronics and fragile goods, with materials supplied by us
  • Room-by-room labelling so every box reaches the right room in the new home
  • Dismantling of beds, wardrobes, dining sets and shelving
  • Protective wrapping for sofas, mattresses, mirrors and glass
  • Loading, secured transport and unloading
  • Reassembly and placement of furniture in your new home

How does a house move work, step by step?

Most house shifts in Muscat follow the same five stages. A two-bedroom apartment usually completes within one day.

  1. Tell us about your move

    Send us your property size, current and new address, and your preferred date on WhatsApp or by phone.

  2. Free survey and written quote

    We assess the volume, access, floor level and lift availability, then give you a written price. Nothing is charged before you accept.

  3. Packing and dismantling

    Our team packs and labels room by room, and dismantles furniture that cannot move assembled.

  4. Loading and transport

    Everything is wrapped, secured and loaded. We transport it directly to your new address.

  5. Unloading, reassembly and placement

    Furniture is reassembled and placed where you want it. Unpacking is available if you have booked it.

How long does a 2-bedroom house shift take in Muscat?

Most two-bedroom moves inside Muscat finish within a single day, including packing, transport and reassembly. Villas and homes with heavy furniture or difficult access can run into a second day. We confirm the expected duration in your written quote.

Do you dismantle and reassemble beds and wardrobes?

Yes. Dismantling and reassembly of beds, wardrobes, dining tables and shelving is part of our standard house shifting service. Our team carries the tools and refits everything at your new address.

Do you supply boxes and packing materials?

Yes. When you book packing with us, we bring cartons, bubble wrap, stretch film, packing paper and tape. You do not need to buy anything separately.

Can you move at short notice?

Often yes, depending on the day. Same-week moves are usually possible outside peak periods. Call or WhatsApp us with your date and we will tell you straight away whether we can take it.

What happens if the lift is not working on moving day?

We handle stair carries, but they add time and manpower, which affects the price. Tell us the floor level during the survey so the quote already accounts for it and there is no surprise on the day.
